2021-2022 Volunteer Hours
From President Ben:

During the 2021-2022 Rotary Year, the Addison Midday Rotary Club conducted 12 service projects, and our members provided a total of over 270 volunteer hours to get them done.

For two of the service projects, our club received Matching District Grants for Projects with the Addison Police and Fire Departments (Santa’s Heroes and Cops & Kids). For each of these two Service Projects, our club provided $930 worth of gift cards.  The matching District Grants provided the same amount of money, bringing the total of donations to nearly $3,900!

The club also provided the yearly Easter Baskets for Hope Supply. But in addition to these club funded donations, the members also came up with additional, own and individual donations – for example our toilet paper drive, the books and toys provided for George H W Bush Elementary School, the cereal for Metrocrest Services.

It is important to note that setting out and picking up flags as well as all the work done at the flag workday is not included in the volunteer hours related to the service projects. This is fundraising, helping to create the income we have from this program. The true hours committed by our members to our club therefore is much higher.

Tagging Pictures on Facebook
We have reviewed our policy on tagging pictures on Facebook and have decided to change our policy.

Previously we did not tag people in our pictures in our club posts on Facebook.  In the future, we will tag people.

If you do not wish to be tagged in a club photo, please contact Stan Herrin.
Calendar Ideas
President is putting together the 2022-2023 Calendar.

If you have an activity he needs to put on the Calendar, please contact him.
What is a Rotary Fellowship?
Rotary Fellowships are international groups that share a common passion. Being part of a fellowship is a fun way to make friends around the world, explore a hobby or profession, and enhance your Rotary experience.

Bookkeeper Needed
The Addison Midday Rotary Club needs a bookkeeper.

If you of someone, please let Jim know.

We would prefer a bookkeeper who is familiar with Rotary.

(Our old bookkeeper is no longer able to assist us.)

Can You Suggest a Speaker?
After almost 2 years of arranging speakers, Ron is running out of speakers.

If you know of a speaker, please let Ron Know.

If every AMRC member would suggest 2 speakers a year, we would never have TBA meetings.

Who do you know that would speak to our club?
