John Crawford Biography
John Crawford was appointed Deputy City Manager for the Town of Addison in March 2019.  He previously served as Director of Public Works for the city of Carrollton and served in the Carrollton Police Department for 26 years in various sworn capacities.

He oversees the Addison Airport, Marketing and Communication, Public Works and Engineering, Parks and Recreation, and Special Events.  Previously he oversaw Finance and Budgeting, Economic Development, Municipal Court, and General Services.

Crawford earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University.  He is a graduate of the North Texas Commission’s Leadership North Texas Class #13 and the New and Emerging City Manager’s Course at the North Central Texas Council of Governments.

He is a member of the International City Management Association, Texas City Management Association, and the North Texas City Management Association.
