CJ Alexander
Town of Addison Fire Chief
Chief CJ Alexander serves as Fire Chief for the Town of Addison, bringing more than 24 years of experience in fire and emergency medical services. He began his career as a firefighter/paramedic and has risen through the ranks, serving in leadership roles with the Cities of Sachse, Allen, and Farmers Branch before joining Addison in 2019, where he recently served as Assistant Fire Chief overseeing operations.
Chief Alexander is passionate about public service, leadership development, and preparing teams to respond when it matters most. In addition to his operational career, he spent over a decade as an Adjunct Professor at Collin College, helping educate and mentor the next generation of EMS professionals.
He holds associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in fire science, business, and management, and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program. His career has been recognized with numerous honors, including EMS Administrator of the Year and several departmental achievements in service excellence.
