The Rotary Foundation is the charitable arm of Rotary International and is supported solely by contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation.  Through Foundation grants, Rotarians are able to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvements of health, the support of education, and alleviation of poverty.

Contributions to the Rotary Foundations’ Annual Fund – SHARE are invested on a three-year cycle.  The contributions, less administrative and fundraising expenses, are then used to fund the World Fund and the District Designated Fund (DDF).  The World Fund is used by Rotary Foundation to pay for Foundation activities available to all Rotary Clubs.  The DDF is used by Districts to fund Foundation grants, activities in our club, as our district chooses.

There are many ways the Rotary Foundation recognize donors to express gratitude for their gift, including
Rotary Foundation Sustaining Member - When you give $100 or more per year to the Annual Fund.
Paul Harris Fellow - When you give $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or an approved Foundation grant.

The Addison Midday Rotary Foundation

In 2005, the Addison Midday Rotary Club started the Addison Midday Rotary Foundation with the purpose of creating an entity to receive the results of our fundraising with the side benefit of allowing our donors a tax deduction if they so choose.  Our foundation primarily provides funding for a specific project of charities in or serving Addison.  Charities are selected by the Addison Midday Rotary Club.

The AMR Foundation has been funded through individual donations, North Texas Giving Day, our Flag Lease Program and other fund-raising activities of the Addison Midday Rotary Club.
