Being a Rotarian in the Addison Midday Rotary Club connects us with a diverse group of professionals who share our drive to give back.
 
TO MAKE CHANGES IN THE COMMUNITY: 
  • Our Club supports Metrocrest Services thru donations, food drives and workdays.
  • Addison Midday Rotary Club (AMRC) has pledged $15,000 over the next 3 three years for the new Metrocrest Services Headquarters.
  • We raise money for Santa's Heros and Cops-n-Kids, two programs started by the Addison Fire and Police Departments to help to provide disadvantaged families and children in Addison with Christmas gifts and summer fun.
  • We support the George H W Bush Elementary School in Addison with dry erase markers, participate in Read-Across-America day and stock their 'store'.  Annually the principal of Bush Elementary speaks to our club.
  • In past years (before COVID) we co-sponsor a health fair with the Addison Athletic Club.
  • We sponsor at least two students to Camp RYLA every year.
 
TO MAKE CHANGES IN THE WORLD:
  • The AMRC HAS agrees to support the Rotary Club Legaspi West in seeking a global grant for a clean water project. 
  • AMRC held a zoom joint meeting with the German Rotary Club of Wangen-Isny-Leutkirch.
  • AMRC donated to Victims of Human Trafficking.
  • Donated to the Kenya Ambulance Project.
 
OUR FLAG LEASE PROGRAM HAS ALLOWED US TO:
  • AMRC supported Addison’s Police and Fire Department’s Santa’s Heros by purchasing 66 $25 gift cards Santa’s Heros to hand out.
  • AMRC has presented Metrocrest Services with the first of three installments for its new Headquarters.
  • AMRC donated to Victims of Human Trafficking.
  • AMRC annually makes and donates Easter baskets for Hope Supply.
  • AMRC supported Addison’s Police and Fire Department’s Cops-n-Kids program by purchasing gift cards for Cops-n-Kids to hand out.
  • AMRC Donated to the Kenya Ambulance Project.
  • Annually, AMRC sponsors two Camp RYLA campers.
WE EXPAND OUR KNOWLEDGE THROUGH WEEKLY SPEAKERS AT OUR CLUB MEETINGS:

  • Kendell Bachick - REACT, the community fitness and paralysis recovery center in Addison
  • Dr jay Ihrig - The Addison Arbor Foundation
  • Mary Pratt Higgins - The new Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum
  • John Crawford, Deputy City Manager for the Town of Addison
  • Joint zoom meeting with the German Roary Club of Wagen-Isny-Leutkirch
  • Field Trip to the Addison Airport                                   
CATCH UP WITH GOOD FRIENDS AND MEET NEW ONES 
  • We have retained over 85% of our members during the past four years.
  • We have socials that have included brewery visits and Oktoberfest.
  • We have an annual Holiday Party.
