Kara Altenbaumer-Price has been involved in March of Dimes since giving birth to her first son at one pound, four ounces just over halfway through her pregnancy in 2003.  Her family has served as the Dallas March of Dimes Ambassador Daily and raised almost $100K as a Family Team.  She currently serves on the Dallas board of the March of Dimes.

Kara Altenbaumer-Price  is USI’s Senior Vice President for Corporate Risk & Governance and leads our Southwest Executive & Professional Risk Solutions Team.  In addition to leading the team, she works as a client adviser and public company lead in USI's Director & Officer insurance and management and professional services, counseling clients on corporate governance, executive and corporate risk, and professional liability insurance language, issues, and claims.

She was named the Graduate of the Last Decade by Texas Tech University School of Law in 2013 and a Rising Star in Corporate Governance by Texas Monthly in 2010.  She was a finalist for D Magazine’s Corporate Counsel Awards in 2014.

Kara received a Bachelor of Journalism and a Certificate of Business Foundations from The University of Texas at Austin, cum laude.  She received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law, summa cum laude.
