Economic Development in Addison

Orlando Campos has the distinction of serving as the Town of Addison’s first Economic Development Director.  He works closely with the City Manager’s Office and Town Council to execute the Town’s Strategic Economic Development Plan for corporate recruitment, business retention & expansion, entrepreneurial development, tourism development, and community redevelopment. 

Orlando has been in the economic development field for the last 26 years.  The Dallas Business Journal has listed his economic development office as one of the top 12 in the Dallas-Fort Worth Region based on the number of deals closed and investment made in the community.   D CEO Magazine recognizes him as one of the most influential business leaders in the DFW Metroplex.  He is a member of the Texas Economic Development Council and the International Economic Development Council and sits on the North Central Texas Council of Government’s Economic Development District Board.  Orlando joined Addison in 2011 and has helped attract and expand various corporate headquarters and regional offices to the community and has worked on various redevelopment projects. 

Prior to coming to Addison, Orlando worked for the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, the Brownsville Economic Development Council, and Valley International Airport in Harlingen.  A native of Brownsville, Texas, Orlando is the youngest of 12 and is a graduate of Columbia University with a degree in Urban Studies and History.
