October is Economic and Community Development Month. This is the time of year clubs focus on how we give back to Rotary using our vocations to support our economy and communities.

Please remember World Polio Day is October 24. Global health experts and partners share our progress on the road to polio eradication. Visit the Rotary International Facebook page to watch with other end polio supporters.
 
Service Opportunity - Metrocrest Services
SERVICE OPPORTUNITY - Mertrocrest Services!!
Wednesday, October 14
1:30 - 4:30
 
On Wednesday, October 14, the Addison Rotary Club will be at the Metrocrest Food Pantry, located at 13801 Hutton Drive in Farmers Branch from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
 
We will be stocking shelves and helping fill requests, among other activities. 
 
We will observe COVID-19 protocols, including face masks, social distancing, constant hand washing, and wearing gloves while handling food packages.
 
Please let Mary Jo know if you can participate.

We all know that the number of families assisted by Metrocrest Services has skyrocketed and there is real continuing unmet need in our community. The Pantry has just updated their critical needs Wish List on Amazon!
 
The Addison Midday Rotary Club is sponsoring a virtual food drive, Oct first through the tenth.
 
To donate, click the Amazon link below and have the products shipped directly to the Metrocrest Services Warehouse! You will notice there are many personal hygiene items on this list - items that Metrocrest Services does not receive from other agencies.
 
Take a few minutes to help fill the warehouse today!

Amazon Prime Day is back starting October 13 and will run through October 14. This is a great opportunity to increase AmazonSmile donations during this epic two days of deals and promotions.

AMRC meets at May Dragon and on Zoom
The Addison Midday Rotary Club returned to May Dragon on August 4.
 
The meeting are also being streamed lived via zoom for members unable to make the 'in-person' meeting.
